Cookie Policy
Last Updated: August 2026
The Short Version
Your Eulogy uses cookies and similar technologies where necessary to make the website work properly and securely.
We use CookieYes to help manage cookie consent and provide information about the cookies in use.
We aren’t currently using Google Analytics or advertising trackers, and we’d quite like to keep things that way unless there’s a good reason to change it.
Where a cookie or similar technology isn’t strictly necessary and requires your consent, it should not be used until you’ve made your choice.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings available on the website.
The slightly longer version follows.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of information that websites can store on your computer, phone, tablet, or other device when you visit them.
They can be used for things such as:
- making a website function;
- keeping it secure;
- remembering preferences;
- enabling particular features;
- understanding how a website is being used; or
- supporting third-party services.
Some cookies disappear when you close your browser.
Others remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
UK rules also apply more broadly to certain technologies that store information on, or access information from, your device, not just traditional cookies.

The Types of Cookies We May Use
Cookies used on Your Eulogy may fall into the following categories.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These are cookies or similar technologies needed for the website or a service you’ve requested to function properly.
They may be used for purposes such as:
- website security;
- basic technical operation;
- remembering your cookie choices;
- maintaining essential website functionality; or
- enabling something you’ve specifically requested.
Where the law allows strictly necessary cookies to be used without consent, we may use them automatically.
We’ll still provide information about them.
UK cookie rules provide exceptions for certain storage or access that is strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user.
Functional Cookies
These may allow additional functionality or remember choices that aren’t strictly necessary for the basic website to operate.
If these require consent, they will only be used after you have agreed to them.
Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies can be used to understand things such as which pages people visit and how they use a website.
We do not currently intend to use Google Analytics or a similar third-party analytics service on the initial version of Your Eulogy.
If we introduce analytics that require consent in future, we’ll update our cookie information and consent arrangements accordingly.
Advertising and Tracking Cookies
These can be used to track people across websites, build profiles, measure advertising, or deliver targeted advertising.
We do not currently intend to use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies on Your Eulogy.
If that changes, we’ll update this policy and obtain consent where required.
CookieYes
We use CookieYes to help manage cookie consent on Your Eulogy.
CookieYes may be used to:
- display our cookie notice;
- record or remember your cookie choices;
- categorise cookies;
- help prevent non-essential cookies from being used before the appropriate consent has been given; and
- allow you to change your preferences.
The cookie banner should give you appropriate choices about non-essential cookies where those choices are required.
UK guidance requires consent for storage and access technologies unless an exception applies, and that consent must meet the required standard rather than being assumed simply because somebody continues browsing the website.
What Cookies Are Currently Used?
The exact cookies used by a website can change as software, plugins, and third-party services are updated.
Rather than maintaining a potentially outdated list manually on this page, we use our cookie management system to identify and provide information about cookies detected on the website.
[COOKIEYES COOKIE TABLE / COOKIE LIST WILL SOON BE HERE]
Where available, this information should tell you things such as:
- the name of the cookie;
- who provides it;
- what it does;
- how long it lasts; and
- what category it belongs to.
We will periodically review the cookies and similar technologies used on the site.
Third-Party Services
Some features of Your Eulogy involve other service providers.
These may include:
SiteGround for website hosting;
WPForms for the contact form;
CookieYes for cookie consent;
Payhip for purchasing and downloading products; and
Mailchimp, if we introduce an optional email list.
Some third-party services may use their own cookies or similar technologies when you interact with their services.
For example, when you follow a link from Your Eulogy to complete a purchase through Payhip, your interaction with Payhip is also subject to Payhip’s own website, privacy, and cookie arrangements.
We don’t control cookies placed on another organisation’s website.
Your Cookie Choices
When you first visit Your Eulogy, you may be shown a cookie banner giving you information and choices about cookies that aren’t strictly necessary.
Where consent is required, you can choose whether to accept those cookies.
Rejecting non-essential cookies should not prevent you from accessing the basic content of Your Eulogy.
You can also change your cookie choices later using:
[COOKIE SETTINGS / MANAGE CONSENT BUTTON COMING SOON]
You can additionally control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
Most browsers allow you to:
- see which cookies are stored;
- delete cookies;
- block some or all cookies;
- block third-party cookies; or
- change how cookies are handled.
The ICO also notes that browsers provide controls for deleting and blocking cookies.
Be aware that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how some website features work.
What About My Eulogy File?
Completing My Eulogy File does not involve entering your answers into the Your Eulogy website.
You download the workbook and keep your answers yourself.
Our cookie system therefore isn’t tracking what you write in your notebook, binder, folder, or personal document.
Which would be both technologically impressive and extremely alarming.
Your completed File stays with you.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if the website, its technology, our service providers, or the law changes.
For example, we may update it if we:
- introduce new website functionality;
- change plugins or service providers;
- introduce analytics;
- add another third-party service; or
- change how cookies are used.
The current version will be published on this page with the Last updated date.
We will also review the actual cookies used on the website periodically rather than assuming that today’s setup will remain unchanged forever.
